I went in for surgery on my arm on the 20th.  I had carpal tunnel in my right elbow.  Everything was to be routine, it was not a major surgery. But it wasn't routine, I got a pulmonary edema.  (Blood and fluid in the lungs to the point I could not breathe.)  The Dr said I had 24 hours to recover,and if I didn't, well, I was a goner.  They put me on a Darth Vader machine to force oxygen into my lungs.  That was a lot of fun (not!)  My poor mom got to see me all fried and out of it.  I feel bad about that.  She is no spring chicken, and the shock was hard on her. And they gave me lasix.  That makes you pee & pee.  Here I was hooked up to ever

I am finally in the 21st century! I broke down and got a cell phone.  Since I drive such a new car (*not*!) I felt I needed one.  I don't know how to use it yet-I am txt msg ignorant. I finally got the two computers to work and be on line at the same time.  My old one was giving me fits, so it was a job to get it to behave.  I didn't want to buy a new one, since the old one was working, somewhat....  It took me all day to get the old one squared away.  Technology can be a bugger.

Gotta love it! We have no water! Our water system sprung a leak, and now the water is off. So no baths tonight! At least it will be fixed tomorrow, we have a good guy that will come and take care of it. I hate not taking baths
